Here are the finished pictures of a three month project. This is a Super Gas drag class car created from a Revell Cobra. I did this build with the Atlanta NNL in mind (theme was 50 years of Cobra) but unfortunately I was unable to attend.

Anyway, the build was created using the Cobra kit for the body but all else was kitbashed using parts box chassis pieces. The rollcage/upper chassis was scratchbuilt using styrene tubing. The engine came from the Revell Jukebox Ford kit. A host of aftermarket parts were also used like the resin carb., Comp resins wrinkle wall slicks and TEM resin cast hood scoop. The body was stretched to accomodate the Super Gas wheelbase length. The graphics were a combination of homemade and Slixx decals.

That sucker is beautiful. One of my favorite Cobra builds I have ever seen. I would love to have it in my Cobra collection. If I ever win the lottery I will make you an offer you can't refuse. Very, very nice work.

That turned out great! I enjoyed alot to see it come together, and the end result is impressive. Your decaling job turned out very well, details are very sharp too. I like those seperate body panels, too.

What a pleasant surprise. I was expecting the usual "front end too high" gasser.

This is a great looking car. Very out of the box for a Cobra, and nicely done.

Congrats on a cool build!
