Windows made using model RR basswood strips and microscope cover slide glass. Security bars, hasp and lock made from styrene. Super simple details compared to what yall are posting here!

That looks great!

A little late on this subject, but Harry, your examples are terrific. I've often wondered If the tonneau I made for my Bentley would have been better in papier-mache, and you proved it.

Man there are some talented ARTISTES on this forum!

A pic of the pump that I built for the fire-truck conversion, maybe not my absolute best but by far the prettiest.

The bed and sides on this L700 were scratchbuilt using Evergreen sheet and strip and Basswood from the wood display at Hobby Lobby. There's roughly 10 hour of work in this.

OK.... Stop the world... I wanna get off... Too much too take in here... I'm going down to my workshop and step on everything...!!! Geeze...... Talk about being blown away. Talented people is definitely an understatement.

Oh, I laughed when I read this... I was feeling the same way! Some really great stuff being built.. I absolutely love this thread!

Nearly everything in this picture is scratch built. The bed and cabinets are all basswood. The mattress is two thicknesses of basswood covered with tissue. The pillow is just wadded up tissue. The blankets are painted paper towel. The coffee maker and coffee pot are both made from bits of plastic. The sink is half a fuel tank from the parts box, repurposed.

All of this just reinforces what has been repeated often on this forum:

Treat every component, every subassembly, as a complete model by itself. That's how amazing work happens.

The items on here are amazing!

This is my second project made from brass. It is a copy of the real Autotwirler.

The 1/18 diecast car was modified to be a body shell. The body rotisserie is all scratch built from brass.
