High octane Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Try the Lake Michigan Model Car Club and I believe they're in the Bensenville area.

High octane Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I stand to be corrected as the Evergreen/Oaklawn area is pretty far from Bensenville. Offhand I don't know of any model car clubs in or near your area.

High octane Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Looks like the ball is in your court Alan and maybe you could check the local hobbyshops and start a club? Give it a go, what have you got to lose?
Sixx Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 derrick do you know of any other clubs closer to civilization? Sorry man, I don't. I'd like to talk to guys at G&G Hobbies in Griffith, Indiana. Exotics_Builder Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Anyone know of any model clubs on the south side of chicago? Any other modelers from the Evergreen/Oak Lawn area? The president of LMMCC lives in Oak Lawn. There are members who come from the south suburbs such as Frankfort. And there are members who come from Northwest Indiana.

John Truby Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Alan: There is the IPMS / Will - Cook chapter that holds their meetings in Homewood, the third Friday of every month in a church basement. There are about a dozen or so active members and for the most part they're plane, tank and ship builders but "car guys" are more than welcome too. I'm a member of the club but I had to take some time away because money is tight, wife is looking for a new job and I just had knee surgery, so I'm on medical leave from my job. FYI - I live on the East Side just north of Hegewisch. John Truby
