Sport Suburban Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Here is another one I finished this year. It's a 68 Roadrunner from AMT. I had built one many years ago and needed to do another one. My original build was more than 20 years old. This is built right out of the box but I used Keith Marks decals. I also used scale finishes Q5 Seafoam Turquise on this one. It's a rare color for a Roadrunner. I also clear coated this one with automotive clearcoat. I use Surwin Williams CC939. I bought it for the real car that I'm working on.
Sport Suburban Posted January 1, 2013 Author Posted January 1, 2013 OH, I forgot I switched out the tires and painted the redlines on. So I guess it's not box stock anymore.
Geno Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Fantastic, I love these Roadrunners and you did this one proud.
Pete L. Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) Very nice build ...great paint and chrome !!! Edited January 1, 2013 by Pete L.

realgone58 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 That really came out sweet! Nice and clean..............great color choice, and the redlines are perfect!
wayneman Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Great looking model. I have done two of these kits, each one better than the last, and none touched yours. Really clean, sharp work.
1972coronet Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Another splendid build , Sport ! Q5 is such a beautiful colour ; frankly , I'm surprised that there weren't more '68-'72 MoPars built in this colour ! I've only seen two which were Q5 : - 1972 Dart Swinger Special ( "Q5" was right there on its fender tag ! I guess that '72 was its last year) - 1968 Barracuda Formula-S 383 (original , very faded and oxidised Q5 . Car was largely original , with its only mods being Ansen Sprints , Doug's functional side pipes , and a two barrel carb atop the original intake which was added in '74) Keep those beautiful builds coming !
CJ1971 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Beautiful RR, SS!! So clean... Gorgeous! Love it! Cheers Cliff
mangodart Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Very nice and clean build, I like the metallic turquoise so much that I'll be able to paint all my buld in this color !!!!!
Shelby 427 1965 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Been meaning to buy this kit, that's gorgeously done!
Hmann Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Absolutely awesome! I have this kit but havent gotten around to it, but seeing yours makes me wanna start! I've only ever seen one 1/1 car that color and it was a 68 charger. My 1/1 70 rr was B5, so I have a soft spot for blue 'runners. Nice work!
