pharoah Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 No not the drag car.. I was wondering if anyone has built an older 1/25th school bus. I've been toying with the idea for several years now.It would take some scratch building and casting, but I've done that before. Thanks
rel14 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Yes, some of us are crazy enough to try to make a school bus.......

Guest G Holding Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Joe beat me to it...RMR also has some kool COE's
Fabrux Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Yes, some of us are crazy enough to try to make a school bus....... Is this, by any chance, a modification of the S'cool Bus? I've been thinking about getting on simply to convert to a stock height school bus.
pharoah Posted January 4, 2013 Author Posted January 4, 2013 That's what I'm talking about! I'm not sure what vintage to build. 50's 60's or 70's. Must..think...some...more.... Thanks,guys!
BigBad Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Is this too new? To me, this is an older bus. Tom, was this ever displayed around here?? OMG! This is too unique to pass up! I remember riding the 1:1 International buses! Please show this in detail!
Harry P. Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Is this too new? To me, this is an older bus. That's a beauty!
Danno Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Tom's International school bus is truly every bit a work of art!
Ben Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Tom needs to post the other pics he has of that bus he built. To say it's awesome is a huge understatement!!!!!!! I have never seen a school bus built anywhere near the level of detail that Toms has. It belongs in a museum!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edsel-Dan Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Wish a kit or 2 of those were offered!!! Not even Resin offers that International!! I thought the 40's/50's Small buses were from Don Loomis.
Repstock Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/Repstock/School%20bus%20project/#!cpZZ2QQtppZZ16 I provide this link to those who may want to view more of the International bus. My intent is to avoid hijacking or diluting this thread.

Tom Geiger Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I just love those old International school busses! I was a US military dependent in the 1960s-70s and those were the Army and Air Force busses we rode to school. The government must have bought a bunch of them because I saw the same ones in Turkey, Germany and Belgium. Here's a photo I found on the Internet of one with Euro plates on it. No doubt one that the US military left behind!
pharoah Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 That is a museum piece! I was looking at the other pictures and I saw the Ford C series garbage truck I want to do. He's already done it...
Chuck Doan Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I like those resin busses! Tom, you have built some wonderful models. I too can remember the jarring rides and hard seats!
Gluhead Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Toms bus is a work of art, no doubt about it. Completely first class. Is this, by any chance, a modification of the S'cool Bus? I've been thinking about getting on simply to convert to a stock height school bus. I'm not Randy but I'm pretty sure it is. Mine's not really a school bus, but it did start out as a S'cool Bus body.
