acmiaz Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) This is a 1/43 BBR Porsche 911 GT1 98. I built this car about 2 1/2 year ago. I spent a ton of hours on the interior including toggle switches, ecu boxes, seat belts, carbon fiber decal and wiring only to realize you can't see through the glass except with a flash light Edited January 26, 2013 by acmiaz
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Beautiful, especially for such a small scale. One of my all-time favorite racing cars.
CAL Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) sure wish they would do a plastic 1/25 kit of the GT1/98. Looks good. Edited January 21, 2013 by CAL
Scuderia Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I know Revell did one, but It was a diff. livery. Not sure if it was the exact same GT1 so I'll have to do some digging

There was several GT1s: 96/97 GT1, GT1 straßenversion (street car) which was based on the GT1 EVO, GT1 EVO, GT1/98, the canceled 1999, the GT1 G-99, and the GT1 G-99 Spyder. It also avoided me making a blunder later on Thanks !
Webb Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Very nice Mark. Especially the decal application. That's always my downfall!
acmiaz Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Thanks for looking! I appreciate all of your compliments on this build.
bigphoto Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Very nice job!! How did the decals lay down, any issues?
acmiaz Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 Thanks! No problems except for the mirrors. The pattern alignment and getting them to conform tested my patience but a little setting solution and a hair dryer fixed them.
IMSANUT Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 sure wish they would do a plastic 1/25 kit of the GT1/98. Looks good. There is a resin cast kit in 1/24th available from England. Nice curbside sans decals, but they are available from Patto's in Australia.
