I was told Moebius may not have the license to do the Chevy's. Hoping that is not true.

I have copies of ALL the 67-72 Chevy's except the 'Rolling Thunder' stepside.

I do have the first with the trail bike, and the black version, but Not Rolling Thunder.

Also need parts to have at least ONE of the GMC Sierra Grande!!

They obviously have a GM license with all of the Novas that have been done/are coming next.  Getting licensing approval on a new project isn't something that done until GM signs off on the final product, they always have the final right of refusal.  The box art for the Galaxie Limited Fleetmaster Coupe was famously tied up for months because of a debate over how much/little clothing the lady washing the car had on...

Anyone else notice the flaw on the 81-84 Chevy/GMC pickup cab??? It's not right on the passenger side at the lower rear cab corner. In slightly goes in twords the door, and not flat like the drivers side cab corner.

Well you have to look at it at this way, Mpc back in the day, started with a mid '70s Chevy, and updated the tool to follow the anual GM design changes, but there is only so much one can do with existing cavities, cus cutting all new steel is expensive. Anyone here who has a 76 Jo-Han Cadillac Eldorado also can notice how that tool was updated from a '71 thru the years.

Cheers

Updating would only have been done to the front fenders, hood. The cab of the 73-87 Chevy/ GMC remained the same thus the flaw at the rear cab corner would not been caused by the greenhouse change. Fenders from 73-87 would be switchable on the real pickups. In fact there was an episode of the Fall Guy where Howie buys a gm stepside pickup the fenders on it we're 1981-87 style and yet the grill/headlights we're from a 75 style pickup. Odd thing about that was the front bumper changes in some scenes from an 81's to a mid 1970 style bumper. So actually the flaw at the back passenger side of the pickup cab would not been caused by changing the front.

I don’t have an earlier cab, if you do please compare the both, if they all have it, mpc at the time missed it from the get go, and the myth of the annuals were correct goes out the door ;)

Anyway it is what it is…….unless a company tools up a whole new series of kits from this generation trucks.

The earliest cab  I have is the original Sod Buster followed by the Original Fall Guy pickup. I know the fall Guy pickup has this flaw,as does the SOD BUSTER. I don't have any of the earlier kits to compare with, could have been a flaw from the start.

I thought I had commented on this last week, I remember typing it out but??

Anyway, I have a rebuilder of the first 4X4 issue, that would have been the second issue from about '79,IIRC. I've built an original issue annual a few years ago ['78?] and have a copy of the first of the modern reissues with the blue 4X4 on the box but I've never seen anything wrong with the cab corners.

Do you mean the earlier ['67/'72] trucks, Rick?

Nope the 67-72 are fine. It's the 81-84 that has the issue on the passenger cab corner. It was a flaw even on the Original Fall Guy GMC Kit. I have an Original built of here The same flaw that is on the deserter and sod Buster kit's ! I contacted Round2 and let them know about the flaw, Got a response back thanking me for the info, and the mold was going to be checked!
