Bullybeef
I know this is an old old thread, but round 2 needs to find more of the molds and release the step side truck! Hopefully with better tires,

Hopefully with better tires, The AMT GMC stepside is the one that's being released now as the Racer's Wedge and Coca-Cola truck, if that's the one you mean. Foolishly modified into a longbed Chevy, which they already had anyway. But, Yea, the MPC longbed stepside should still be around somewhere. They should correct the rear fenders if they release it though.

Maybe there exists a separate insert for the earlier cab and Stepside bed? The H&M was a combination of the later cab and Stepside bed, so it might be possible. Luc Janssens
I've wrote this time and time again, but IMHO this gen of GM pickups is ready for a complete series of new kits, same for the Dodge's of that same era. The manufacturer who tackles this could not only spread the investment via the plethora of possible different releases, but also by looking at voids in other segments of the hobby, like 1/35 armor 1/32 & 1/48 planes, (CUCV's) Revell tools and sells models in all segments of the hobby, thus would be manufacturer of my choice, tho Round-2 would be able to to the same if they partner up with Italeri. If only I could win the Euro millions jackpot Just my 2 cents, now back to my modelling bench. Casey
No love for the 1/32 scale MPC Squarebody? ? False advertising! Look at that 2WD version in the upper-left! I could swear that there was another version --different name , different colour-- which exhibited a 'STOCK VERSION' 2WD with steelies and hubcaps! Of course I can't find an image of it. Rob Hall
I have all of the MPC 1/25th Chevys and GMCs of that era in my stash except for the Super Dually (wish they had made a stock dually) and also have several of the reissues...I seem to remember there was a custom pickup w/ a big rig look, or was that the earlier style cab.. I believe that was the earlier body style, with a sleeper cab and exhaust stacks. May have been a silver or gray truck on the box art. Fabrux
MPC did a '72 with a sleeper and stacks. Revell did a couple squares with big rig styling.

oldcarfan
I've got enough of these various kits' recent releases to last the rest of my life. However if Round2 were to backdate the 70 Chevy into a 67-68 shortbed and stepside, I'd appreciate it.
