Foxer Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) It's been a long haul but the last piece went on My Daughter's GMC Van today. She had this monster during school in the '90's and her take on a Hippie Van traveled to many a Grateful Dead event. I made it from an A-Team kit with many a modification, including cut out side windows, opening rear doors, reconfigured dash and console, 8 lug wheels (by Ryan Silva), interior side panels, hand sewn bean bag chair and many more. You can see all at the "work in progress here". Edited August 10, 2017 by Foxer

wrecker388 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) Wow, that is extremely cool! I love the display base too. I'm quite surprised your daughter didn't try to murder you when you gave her the keys! Edited March 14, 2013 by wrecker388
crazyjim Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Very nice. Both look like they have miles on them.
Erik Smith Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Excellent! Glad to see it finished. Great looking model - I love all the details.
Gluhead Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 That came out fantastic, Mike...a great example of a family car replica. I followed along on the build thread and was highly entertained. I bet you're glad it's done, though!
1fine89 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I remember seeing this a while ago in "work in progress section" Looks great and nice detail!
Joe Handley Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Very Nice! Believe it or not, the cargo version of these vans are now available for down load on the Forza 4 and Horizon games for XBox!
Captain Obvious Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I'd be very nervous if I had a daughter driving something like that...lol Looks fantastic, and totally nailed the appearance of the 1:1.
