82mockup Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I would like to see some of your 1/8,1/12,1/16 scale model cars because I'm trying to get into the big scale model cars. I would like to pro street one of these. To be kinda like this
Lovefordgalaxie Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I built some big scale kits, but never had the patience to super detail them, going almost ever with box stock builds. The last one I built was my favorite large scale, the Monogram 1957 Chevy Bel Air. It's box stock, but the stainless steel exhaust tips. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613300028/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613300028/'>More Bel Air Shots by http://www.flickr.com/people/lovefordgalaxie/'>Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613300978/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613300978/'>More Bel Air Shots by http://www.flickr.com/people/lovefordgalaxie/'>Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613302068/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613302068/'>More Bel Air Shots by http://www.flickr.com/people/lovefordgalaxie/'>Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613303092/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613303092/'>More Bel Air Shots by http://www.flickr.com/people/lovefordgalaxie/'>Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613303828/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613303828/'>More Bel Air Shots by http://www.flickr.com/people/lovefordgalaxie/'>Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613304770/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613304770/'>More Bel Air Shots by http://www.flickr.com/people/lovefordgalaxie/'>Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613308068/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613308068/'>More Bel Air Shots by http://www.flickr.com/people/lovefordgalaxie/'>Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613310200/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7613310200/'>More Bel Air Shots by http://www.flickr.com/people/lovefordgalaxie/'>Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7074202417/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/7074202417/'>1957 Chevrolet Bel Air by http://www.flickr.com/people/lovefordgalaxie/'>Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr

Hawk312 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I would like to see some of your 1/8,1/12,1/16 scale model cars because I'm trying to get into the big scale model cars. I would like to pro street one of these. To be kinda like this I`ve built dozens of 1/12 Corvettes and Camaros. You can search for threads that I started and see a handful of them. Also have some 1/8 scale stuff on here too.

82mockup Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Does anyone know where I can get aluminium wheels????
every second counts Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 That pic of the interior, its got to be a real car?? The cloth is so real it looks like it has texture. WOW
Pocherphile Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 (edited) Awesome, just awesome I wished I knew then what I know now. Came back to USA from FRG 1975.........on way home from airport, spied a set of wheels on a car lot. Went back to that car lot, dickered with the owner......0le Cav man himself, drove those wheels off the lot after handing him $2700.00 hard saved. What was that ride..........a 1 owner 1969 Factory Z28..........one bad mamma jamma. White body, black strips, black interior. Engine was factory hotrod, 4 speed trans..........would pick front wheels off of the ground a good inch popping the clutch............like I said, this was a Factory built hotrod ready for the strip. Had to add traction bars to keep rear wheels on the ground. I would go on to add a few more goodies, a Elderbrook Highrise w/twin 650's, a Cam, solid lifters, Headman Headers, Accel Coil, 411 rear, Fenton wheels w/Mickey Thompson Tires and did change the hood for a hood w/scoop to flow air to those 2 high octane burning carbs. I sold that car back then to a fella who would campaign successfully @ several strips around GA. So yea, these bring back some good memories. Forgive my spelling if I did not spell the names right, you get the idea. Old school Hot Rodder. Edited March 16, 2014 by Pocherphile
