sarkasim99 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Hey guys, this is my first build of this year. Took me a bit to get back into it. It was my first time using BMF and first time weathering. Let me know what ya'll think!
peter31a Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Looks good to me, Ben. BMF looks good on it and the weathering is subtle. Job well done.
Foxer Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Whatever you used on the engine compartment, it sure worked! .. it looks so much like a real one.
sarkasim99 Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 Thanks Mike, I found a powdered weathering kit at my local hobby shop, assuming it's some sort of chalk with a binder to adhere to the matte surfaces, and I think its designed for model trains. Either way, I agree, it worked really well!
Sixties Sam Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Great Goat! The foil work is excellent. First time? You're kidding! The dusty looking engine bay is a great touch. Looks like you opened the hood on a real one that has been driven a few years. Nice work! Sam
sarkasim99 Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 Adding some more interior pictures for you guys..
Burnout Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Looks great! You did a really nice job with the foil.
charlie8575 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Nice work on that, especially the engine bay. Charlie Larkin
TooOld Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 That's a very nice looking GTO ! Like every body has already said , the dusty - worn look is very realistic looking . I'd love to find a real one that looks like that ! And the interior detailing is excellent ! Congrats on your first build of 2013 !
