Hey all,

I have a set of four AR Daisy Mag Wheels. They are really nice rims but I can't for the life of me remember what kit I got them from. I had planned on using them on a AMT 65 GTO so they've been in this kit for several years now but I'd like to get a few other sets for some of my other builds. Scenes Unlimited do a set of Daisy big n littles but they aren't chromed and I'd rather have the same rims front and rear. Any help from the experts on what kit these originally came from would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if they're the same ones you have, but my buddy Matt said these came from a diecast 'Two Lane Blacktop' '55 Chevy:

AMT ' 62 Belair Convertible

Those aren't "Daisy" mags. They're Torque Thrusts (bare plastic at that).

Don W. if you could post a photo of the wheels you have, it would better help us to identify which kit or where they came from.

The 1/24 Monogram Badman kit includes a wider pair of American 200-S "Daisy" wheels, as does the T'rantula. I think they're the best proportioned 200-S wheels, and they seem closer to 1/25 than 1/24 scale to me. The Monogram '57 Vette and '57 Bel Air wheels are kinda-sorta 200-S wheels, but the shape isn't quite correct.

I have seen them in an older AMT or MPC kit, too, but they were 14" and the spoke proportions didn't look right either. It's almost as if they took a 15" wheel and removed half a scale inch from the outer ends of each spoke, allowing the wheel to fit inside a 14" wheel hoop. It leaves the spokes looking stubby and truncated IMO.

Gents, what I have are what is on the Firebird that VW Dave posted. I wish I had a set of Torque Thrust rims! Casey, I think what I have is what you have described. Mine appear to be 14" rims and the spokes seem stubby and wide. They still look awesome up under the 65 GTO. I'd really like to get some more but the deep and deeper ones that Scenes Unlimited has are a tad deeper that what I'm after. I haven't seen any pics of the Modelhaus rims so those may be a way to go. Thanks all for taking the time to answer.
