CrazyGirl Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 i just got some Humbrol paint brush ,, 000,0,2 and 4 , my question , what would the brush number be for a smaller and finer brusch , smaller than a 000 ?? thanks
JunkPile Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 A sharpened toothpick can get really small for some detail painting
CrazyGirl Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 hey Chuck , i have a question about valve covers , i see the fancy ones with the lines and names painted , do they paint the entire thing and then wipe to top off clean ??
JunkPile Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Paint a base color then top color then wipe carefully. Or you can apply accent paint to low areas only and wipe off high spots
Guest G Holding Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 These are a great set, $$ but quality. I've had mine for 5 or 6 years now, lost 1 cap and they get used with lacquer, enamels, and acrylics. http://www.micromark.com/6-piece-ultra-detailer-paint-brush-set,7662.html
CrazyGirl Posted March 27, 2013 Author Posted March 27, 2013 Great Greg , thanks , just ordered them , !!!!!
hooterville75 Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 These are a great set, $$ but quality. They are a really quality brush for the money. Im looking at buying a set of these brushes you mentioned as well for weathering.
Guest G Holding Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I use these for dashboard details, tailights.....Great for blue dots......straps and wires
crazyjim Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 There's also several sizes of little fuzzy things - microbrushes.
Monty Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Has anyone tried any of these brushes? http://www.micromark.com/30and0-micro-miniature-paint-brush-set-4-brushes,9628.html I'm intrigued by the size, but I'd like to know how well they actually work.
