Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Finished the Fairlane last night. It's a box stock build, and the only things that were not included in the box are the paint, foil, and the custom licence plate decals. The paint is PPG automotive synthetic enamel in Wimbledon White, the only color available from Ford for those cars. I usually don't work with PPG, but I got the paint from a friend that has a body shop, and I'm better find out more models to paint, bacause I got almost a liter of it!!! The rest of the model was painted with a mix of Model Master, Revell enamels and Humbrol paints. Thank you for looking!!!1966 Fairlane 500 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr1966 Fairlane 500 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr1966 Fairlane 500 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr1966 Fairlane 500 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr1966 Fairlane 500 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr1966 Fairlane 500 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr1966 Fairlane 500 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr1966 Fairlane 500 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr1966 Fairlane 500 427 by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr

crazyjim Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 The pics look like a real car. Super build and SHINY :)
cruz Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Very cool, one of my favorite kits. There is no better color for this car, it's just perfect!!
TooOld Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Absolutely beautiful , as usual ! And thanks again for the "in progress" photos .
W-409 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Beautiful Box Stock build, this kit is one of those AMT Fords I want to build some day too, and your build shows that it can be built excellent! Fantastic paint job, as always in your builds and perfect overall finishing too. Even if I don't build much these Factory Stock cars, I do like to see them being built, especially when they are as nice as this one.
Shardik Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 If I hadn't seen the WIP, I would swear that those are photo's of a real car. Outstanding work as always. By the way, I could send you a dozen or so bodies to help use up that paint...just tryin' to be helpful
drifterdon Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 So when do we get to see pics of the model? Seriously, that is a stunning build and if we didn't know better could pass as photos of the real thing. I can't wait to see the next Ford off your workbench. All winners.
torinobradley Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Awesome build and it even has the correct colors on the chassis, suspension and paint ID marks too!
bbowser Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Tulio, your builds continue to blow me away. Awesome model.
W-Machine Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Love that "sleeper" look with the steelies and dog dish hubcaps. Very well done!
Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Thank you my friends for all the comments
Sean W Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Love it! It looks so perfect in white, and your paint job is immaculate as well. You may get tired of white cars before you make it through a liter of paint though, lol. It is an inspiring build Tulio, job well done.
bogger44 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Another outstanding build Tulio! At first I thought I was looking at a real car. That chassis detailing is spot on, and love it. Congrats on an awesome build!
