That is too cool!!! I still remember seeing the '82 Escort EXP bodied Blue Max run at Milan Dragway! I had a 1:18 plastic toy. When Raymond Beadle did his burnout in the near lane, he stopped in front of me, I held up the toy and he gave me a thumbs up (a big thrill for a five year old).

:D thank you for your coments...it is really appresiated.

no its not my first built, but after watching your work and seeing how you guys build.

I decided to take my time and for the first time I feel I am not rushing thru.

and I was able to learn from this one and I can't wait to start in my other project.

the next one will take more time and skill. a 2006 mustang pro stock. using a resin body

and a 84 Pro stock T Bird kit ror the chassie. Will not do what I did in the past. Jam a body

on top of the pro stock chassie, will do what I saw here, will use the floor but create a roll cage

base on the body style and up to standard for todays Pro Stocks. will be my first......

and for the friend that saw RAYMOND BEADLE LIVE........I understand the love.

I saw him in Florida in his last exibition runs and I also saw Tom "Mongoose" McEwen,,

when he was driving his 57 BelAir and got his signature. My dad back then worked with a former

PRO STOCK RACER Richard De Lisi the "Waco Kid" and he knew all of them personally,

my dad broughd back a bunch of stuff sign for me and its funny Beadle own the nascar team Kodiac

wich became Rusty Wallace big break. He got me a crew team shirt of this. I still have it.

So you understand the love and why we try so hard in making good replicas.

I was to small to go oveerseas and go to the races, I was living in PuertoRico then.

but when I moved to Florida in 85,,,,and later got my licence...I lived in the track.

and yearly I go to Gainsville.

Will love to attent one day to the GOODGUYS event and see the old school funny cars again.

It's Erik again, thanks to you and your AWESOME funny car you have inspired me! I've dug up some old fond memories in the form of some old slides (yes SLIDES) of that weekend in 1982 at Milan Dragway(Michigan). I also found my AUTOGRAPHED pic that I know you will appreciate!

With the use of a Vega funny car, with some bodywork and a shotgun HEMI I will build this car!!!

I found this photoshop when I was looking for pics of the 1982 car

great build.........I've got the Blue Max Arrow started and should finish it soon along with a compliment of other "MAX" bodies and chassis. My job as a professional sign painter keeps me buzy specializing in race cars and I'm passionate about "old school" F/C's and how they were painted and lettered... The MAX was always quality! The Yellow "Ble Max" was my all time favorite "MAX" !

First of all, thanks for the pics! I believe, that if you have the passion for the subject, you will build a great model. You do, and you did!

Welcome aboard!
