weirich1 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 (edited) Transformers 4 Optimus Prime Western Star, a slightly modified Constellation tractor; the last image is the Peterbilt he used to be in the previous 3 movies. Edited July 29, 2013 by weirich1
1930fordpickup Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 They were filming with the new truck in Michigan late June early July.
lazlow Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 The Peterbilt had more class. I guess they had to change it so they could sell more toys. Laz
Jim B Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I prefer the Peterbilt as well. The Western Star wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have those stacks! But like Laz said, they probably did it so they could sell more toys.

Joe Handley Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Anybody else get the strong desire to find who ever thought that was a good idea and do this?
modeler98 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I'm not sure about how this one is gonna turn out. I like the peterbilt ten times more. Ps , does anyone notice that prime has a refrigerator trailer in the dark of the moon?
Joe Handley Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Ps , does anyone notice that prime has a refrigerator trailer in the dark of the moon? Not until just now, but look when I made my last post on this thread.
BigBad Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Well you know, if you remove the extra exhausts, the "cowl induction " hood scoop, the ridiculous rearview mirrors and the too long rear hubs, it doesn't look half bad. I kinda like the mean looking front end. The headlights, the grill, the bumper and the visor look pretty good imho. Those are pretty good ideas to modify the italeri Western Star.
Bennyg Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Very different. I thought they would have gone with a Lonestar. Ben
weirich1 Posted August 17, 2013 Author Posted August 17, 2013 If they use the 53' reefer it will look even more badass!
Joe Handley Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Very different. I thought they would have gone with a Lonestar. Ben I'm glad they didn't, they look bad enough without the nonsense done to this one added on top of it.
