twopaws Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Looking for suggestions for a good quick change rear end, either kit or aftermarket. I tried a modification to a stock Ford rear end and I am not satisfied with my results. It will be used in a 32 Ford street rod if that makes a difference. Thanks.
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 The vintage but recently re-releasedAMT double "T" kit has a very crisp QC that should have the right width axle bells for your application. The AMT Double Dragster, also a vintage re-release, has a pair of similar QCs, with narrower axle bells. You will have to re-work the driveshafts on any of them to the correct length. Here's one installed under a '32, using a custom rear crossmember and a model T spring from a vintage Revell PartsPack.
crazyjim Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I've casted a couple of quick change rear ends. Send me a PM and we can probably work something out.
