Furiousgeorge Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I've recently bought a few boxes of older builds and junk cars, and buried among them were some quite old (I think) kits. I've tried EBay and Google, but with no manufacturers marks I've got nothing to go on. The ones I'm most interested in are smaller (1:43ish). One has Revell 1962 on the bottom, the other has no marks. A third is slightly larger (1:32?), and has no marks. All three are molded in colour (one blue, one yellow and one a tealish shade) tires are colour as well. Even the one stamped Revell has proven difficult to ID. I don't do any of the online photo places, so no pics sorry. If anyone thinks they could ID them, pm me and I can send pics. Thanks!

Or, why not photograph them individually, and post up the pics here? I'd bet somebody who reads these forums can ID them for you. Art
Furiousgeorge Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 I was under the impression that one had to use photobucket or some place like that to post pictures, but I guess not! I'll file that one under "gotta pay more attention". The tire/wheel is a 1/25 Warlock unit there for scaling purposes. The bodies of the smaller cars are multi-piece units. The Tealish one has an engine, but no opening hood. Any help would be great!
george 53 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 The yellow one looks to be a Lindberg 32nd scale 52 Chevy Fleetline sedan. The other two smaller ones are NOT American cars. At least none that I've ever seen, an I'mma ol fart.
421gto Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Left one is Revell (cadet series #904) Vauxhall Cresta - middle is Revell (cadet series #903) Ford Consul - right one. cheers Si
Furiousgeorge Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 Ah! That seems right on the mark! Thanks! I guess vintage doesn't really fit the Fleetline, but the other two can sit on the shelf as are. I got quite lucky with this particular find. In the boxes I also found a Warlock, '72 Cuda, '61 Olds F85 wagon, '77 Roadrunner, what appears to be a 1/12 Lamborghini Countach (unknown manufacturer) along with about a half dozen other older and oddball cars that can be rebuilt. Along with a few polished rocks (my daughter LOVES rock collecting!) and a few dinky cars (one quite old). The Warlock I've wanted for a long time but couldn't win one for a realistic price. Goin to be busy!
mr moto Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I guess vintage doesn't really fit the Fleetline Actually, it could be quite vintage. The Chevy has been available from Lindberg in fairly recent times (maybe it's still produced) but in years past the same kit was available at various times from Pyro, Palmer, Life-Like and probably others. It's history goes back to early 60's at least.
Tom Geiger Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 The Chevy was on the shelf at Avenel Hobbies in NJ last month. It's current.
