Had the same issue a few months ago,  wife has one of those wireless chargers, held me over till the parts showed up from amazon. 20 bucks,  20 minutes one youtube video and I fixed it. Might be worth a shot?

I watched a couple videos. It's Monkey Wrenched back to partial functioning. The Phone is 5 years old, and I'm not going to try electronics repair yet.

Postal carrier  no hablo ingles. Shame on the shipper for not anticipating that. 🤪

I talk to them regularly. They speak perfectly fine English. Like I said, our regular carrier is great. When a Surfer's Journal gets delivered, it's on the doorstep with the rest of our mail rubber banded to it.

This is what's known as an oxygen thief. What's the fine for parking in 2 handicap spaces? And who "hard parks" a Kia? Are we 12 years old? They should have come out to this.

And that, sir, is why my neighbors out west keep chickens.

My sister-in-law has chickens but they don't produce much in the winter. Something to do with the temperature and short daylight.

I guess whoever it was had to prove it, lest there be any doubt.

I have absolutely no problem with real handicapped individuals who have either the permanent handicap tags or the mirror hanging permit. My problem is when individuals like my aunt who has a hanging permit, which was issued supposably for my handicap cousin, but is used repeatedly for my aunts lazy @$$ so she doesn't have so walk far. On a few occasions when we would go out for a meal, which was without my cousin, she would say "park in the handicap space so we don't have far to walk.. shameful in my eyes but she sees nothing wrong with this practice. 🤬

After the calendar is turned at midnight and the clock strikes 3:10 am it will be the one year anniversary of my Dad's passing. It still doesn't seem real. Those last two years of our life together while I cared for him we became inseparable. I sure do miss him, but I have the comfort of knowing someday we will all be together again.

Thank you again to those caring members here who helped me through it. You guys are priceless..

I lost my father 19 years ago, and mom's not doing so well, my condolences to you. Very commendable you taking care of him, and more so in keeping him in your thoughts. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks. I do, and will. My father (step father, actually) was and is the reason I'm the person I am today. Much like you said, we were inseparable, that really struck a cord with me. I still speak of him often, and smile doing so.

Kinda looking like I've got a nighttime gas thief.

The Blazer usually goes 260 miles after a fill before I even have to think about buying more.

I reset the trip odo at every fill-up.

Last time she was a little short.

This time she only went 170 miles. No leaks, no black smoke, no check-engine light, runs fine.

Time to buy a locking cap I guess.

Anyone bold enough to steal, or attempt for that matter, deserves EVERYTHING they receive if caught. My view is if not yours,  and you didn't work for it, HANDS OFF. If you got thieves hanging around, I hope it's taken care of swiftly.

One of the stops that I pick the school kids up at has had a problem for awhile that really irks me. Cars are constantly running the stop sign on the bus. A mom and her son were almost ten pinned by one yesterday while crossing the street. The parents yell at them and the drivers yell back and mock them On Friday, they filed complaints with the local school board and my general manager filed one on my behalf. Hopefully it can be dealt with by the cops before a kid, parent or both are hurt.

Self checkout machines are dumb. Got a load of older Muscle Machines mags (see what did you get today model car related) from value ville but they only got those dang machines and no actual cashiers. Forgot my wallet so I had to owe my dad after, and he was a little short on cash, so while paying that machine one of the ten dollar bills had a hole in it so the machine wouldn’t take it and the workers there wouldn’t change the bill so we had to switch to the debit card to pay the rest of it. Total BS that they wouldn’t change the bill though.

The Blazer sleeps at the end of the driveway, right at the street, with the filler cap away from my windows. Easy mark for somebody who parks in the Mr. Fixit business lot next door and knows how to siphon.

Losing the fuel is annoying, but I guess I ought to be happy, as one fairly recent local SOP has been to punch a hole in the bottom of the tank and drain it into a large capped pan made for oil changes, letting any excess drain out under the vehicle.

Amazing there haven't been serious fires...yet.

I've got a particular disposition wen it comes to thieves. There's a motel a few miles from me that recently started housing the degenerate side of society, by that I mean the really awful side. Since that's been going on There's an upswing in begging at stores, theft and drug arrest. I live right on the edge of town, secluded,  and still put up four cameras on the property. The gas cap is cheap insurance and peace of mind.

Yeah, but the thought occurs to me that on finding a locking cap, whoever will just put a brick through one of the windows for spite.

Locking cap short-term, then I'm thinking a micro-switch on the gas door, wired to an alarm...

At least your degenerate side of society is being housed in a motel. The group we have, is living in an encampment in a wooded area just 1/8 of a mile behind the neighborhood where my wife and I own a home that she's been  residing at since I moved into my Dad's house 3 yrs ago to care for him till his passing. Four days ago I received a frantic phone call from an elderly single lady who lives two doors up, telling me that a crazed male wearing a ski mask was on her back deck and had thrown a potted plant at her window and then proceeded to violently beat her back door with one of her porch chairs. She turned on the spot light and he fled the scene running through the other neighbor and our backyard. He then passed a neighbor who happened to be outside at the time and she saw him run into that wooded area. When the police arrived they searched the area and lifted finger prints from the potted planter. No info as of yet pertaining to the ID of the perpetrator. To top all this off, we found out that our health dept which is located just up the hill from the encampment has been supplying the encampment with tents and supplies. How nice..

Since the presence of this encampment we've had a rash of small items missing from outside of multiple homes in the neighborhood. This attempted break in is a new issue that has evolved. 😡

I've lived in this area just about 15 years, have had my house for almost 9. I've seen that "slow creep" of the city moving up, and the garbage that goes with it. Horrible the situation you're talking about, attempts at home invasion, hopefully you have a decent police department, and your neighbor is ok. Shaken up obviously. The health department probably says they can't make them leave, only offer assistance. Which they obviously do,encouraging them and not helping the situation.

We've been residents of our single dwelling home for 30 years, it's a HOA community with an increasing number of Hud homes over the past 10 years. Our police dept is great, but unfortunately their hands are tied for reasons that I shall refrain from mentioning..🤫  I've been thinking hard as how we the community can rid of the encampment legally. One thought is to contact the environment protection dept since there is a natural flowing stream running through the encampment. The last time I went back to take a look see I was horrified at the amount of trash thrown about the area. Maybe even contacting PETA, I'm sure the encampment is hindering the animal population from using the area and driving them from their natural habitat. At this point whatever it takes, I'm game.

🤔°°continual night time raids with loud banging on pots and pans?

Some deer musk will stink to high heaven. Or bait some skunks into the area. All natural and can't really point the finger at a human if nature is doing nature things. You'll just be "helping out".
