Sixties Sam Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Hi, all. I made this ice cream stand patterned after a real one nearby that will soon be demolished to make way for yet another convenience store. It was a pretty simple build - foam board walls with coffee stirrers for siding and some brick paper in front. Balsa roof with aluminum foil to simulate metal roofing. Signs and ice cream cone on top came from online. The base is painted plywood. Fence is paper glued to balsa. Photos were shot on a table on our deck with some shrubbery in the background. Comments welcome! Sam

Sixties Sam Posted October 18, 2013 Author Posted October 18, 2013 Very nice diorama Sam, very realistic. Great looking cars to. Where do you get your figures?? Carl, these figures are G scale model train figures from eBay. I got 20 of them for $17 a couple years ago. They were prepainted, but I redid some of them because they were crummy. Sam

charlie8575 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I love how you manage to angle and set your depth-of-field so that everything actually looks like real people/cars/buildings. Very nice job on this, Sam. Charlie Larkin
