Lindberg did a bunch of 1/32 scale cars that no other model manufacturer ever did. If you haven't seen them in person, I'll caution you that the interiors are a bit generic, and some are a bit out of scale. Otherwise, with some detailing they do build up nice.

With all of the feelings about Harry of late, I've been thinking about something I could do as a modest honor of sorts. Adding mirrors to something of mine seemed appropriate, and it had to be something that he commented on. Looking around, this came up.

Problem: Where do you find 1:32 scale '70s style chrome mirrors? Solution: In the AMT '70s Ford pickup kits. Gee, I thought everyone knew that. Those goofy little mirrors that are way too small for the 1:25 trucks are just about right for 1:32 cars. So...

That is very cool. A very nice build of a typical Monarch.  That silver and red scheme was THE scheme of the day. When those first came out I had a '66 Valiant with a red interior, and I painted it silver.

Later on, I had a 1977 Monarch. This one was silver (of course) with a blue top and interior.  When I got it, the front left fender was damaged. I had no problem at all finding another silver fender!

It was a 4 door sedan, full vinyl top and it had bucket seats and a console mounted shifter.  That was very cool in those days, although very normal today!

Wow !   I have model kits or die cast models of almost every car I’ve ever owned ( have 26 and need 3 more ) and this is the exact Monarch year, color and everything, that we bought from an insurance company as a second car at the time.     Would the owner be interested in selling it for a worthy cause ?       Let me know rbcool51@aol.com

Thanks for your consideration.     Rick
