White7000 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) Hello guys! I'm not sure somebody remember this movie, but there was one interesting moment with this truck. I hope you'll like it! Edited October 30, 2013 by White7000
Pavel A. Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Yeah, of course. Paco Querak If I can remember it is truck of Blanco....right? Build is awesome and very very clean. Pavel.
kilrathy10 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 This is one good looking truck....I don't remember the movie, but I do dig the truck....Really like that photoetched grill....Very clean and well executed.....
olsbooks Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Wow! How in the world did you do/make that ultra fine black stripe between the various stripe colors? Cab mounted exhaust? Never seen such a thing on a Freightliner. That must have been a challenge. Really neat the way you handled that and put in the discoloration and inevitable leaks. Like the air cleaner piping too. Very very nice.
BigBad Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Love it! Very tidy work. The stripes and the photo etch kit really makes it stand out. Nice job on the headlights, the inlet and exhaust and all the custom touches, Very nice!
White7000 Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 If I can remember it is truck of Blanco....right? No, it was Raul's truck. Blanco's Freightliner was yellow.
Pavel A. Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Yes. Wright I saw this movie a very long time ago.... truck is wonderful. Pavel.
White7000 Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 How in the world did you do/make that ultra fine black stripe between the various stripe colors? Cab mounted exhaust? All lines on the cab - hand made decals. Cab mounted exhaust was very popular on WF of the 60-s. Thanks everybody!
mackinac359 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Nice work! The windshield 'glass' looks so much better in the right position rather than the recessed look of the kit glass tub. The photoetch grille and air intake make for a much better, more realistic look. I like the step stirrups in place of the pockets and ladders. For Jesse - White-Freightliner offered dozens of exhaust configurations. Single, dual, rack mounted like the kit, wide-spread rack mount, back of cab single/dual, recessed single (like Denis' great build shows here) or dual or under the frame. Air cleaners could be under cab, back of cab, back of cab recessed, rack mounted, rack mounted center, dual rack mounted center. Pretty much anything was possible. Tim
Jim B Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Never saw the movie, but your model is fantastic. Very well done.
flat-top Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Very nice , awesome job on the Freightliner.
Sergey Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) Well done Denis! I like the way I build it.Photoetched grill liven the model up. That's why I made etched grill for my Cruiseliner.I'm looking forward for your "Convoy" Peterbilt 352!Good luck! Edited November 7, 2013 by Sergey
