Jonathan Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) The Revell SNAP kit of the '63 Vette. A great kit! It might be a "snapper", but it's worth your time, I think. In retrospect, I should have used a wash on the wheels and applied foil to the emblem on the fender. Hey, live & learn! Edited November 13, 2013 by Jonathan
PappyD340 Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Very NICE indeed, the color looks great, I have an AMT 63 that I built a few years ago that I'm going to redo I never was real happy with it so it's been through the purple pond and ready for restoration sometime you did a great job on yours!!
slusher Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Very nice build, and great color choice and finish..
Sixties Sam Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Very nice Vette! I like those snap-tite kits. They're quick, and build up into very presentable models. Good job on the build - great color. Sam
Duntov Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 The Revell SNAP kit of the '63 Vette. A great kit! It might be a "snapper", but it's worth your time, I think. I have to totally agree here….this is one of the best snap kits around and you have proven that with a bit of attention to detail a little time and BMF you can turn out a really nice addition to your collection….. Well done!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
Joe Handley Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Nice build, I do like their whole line of recent snap kits from them.
Tom Geiger Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Nice build, I do like their whole line of recent snap kits from them. A while back my club did a snap kit build with a local youth group. We never paid attention to the snappers, but they sure opened our eyes! Revell did a very nice job on those. They're fun to build and detail out the body and interior. You get a nice shelf model. I did this one..
Sixties Sam Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I did a 63 roadster a few weeks ago, and added a top from an original corvette model from the 1960's (65 maybe?). I added some metal washers for brake disks. Sam

I did this one.. I work for a HobbyTown and am always recommending that whole lineup to folks looking to get a kid (or a few) into models. I do warn them that the '05 Impala has a shot gun, just in case, though.
Jonathan Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 Tom and Sam - those are some sweet looking '63's! They are great kits. Fun for all ages, I think. I may have to pick up another.
Tom Geiger Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I do warn them that the '05 Impala has a shot gun, just in case, though. At least it doesn't fire!
Joe Handley Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 At least it doesn't fire! True, but you never know with some people.
