I got these AWESOME 10 spoke gasser wheels from Joe at JDSRacing. Man, can't wait to use 'em on a build !!! Thanks Joe! They are a scale 17" and thin. They are aluminum!! On set is polished, the other set is "beaded", they look kinda like magnesium! Sorry, I had to sneak that fourth one in!!

Back in the 60's I don't recall ever seein' those type of wheels on any gasser.

They weren't, they were used mostly on Altereds.

Check out the December 2013 issue of Hot Rod magazine....57 Ford with 10 spoke front wheels, gasser. Cool car!!

Most Altereds ran the 18" version of the American Racing Spindle Mount Spokes while the door slammer variety and funnies ran the 15"

This I would call a "Drag" type and not really a "Gasser" type wheel.

That's one of those confused modern reinterpretations, not a gasser in the original sense of the word. 10 spokes are a recent creation to allow a five stud mounting. The original American Racing wheels were 12 spoke spindle mounts, in 15" and 18" as Jesse already pointed out.
