Davewilly Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Bob turned out great! I like the tires and wheel combo on it and great detail on the engine
TooOld Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 Thank you everyone for the responses ! I wasn't expecting this many replies and I really appreciate it . It sounds like the overwhelming vote is to keep it like it is , and I'm considering it .
Jordan 191 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I like the dark color because the wheels, seats, and engine are performance-oriented. It's like a Porsche-fied Manx. In that sense, it's a perfect mature sports car color. It doesn't need to be loud like most Manxes.
Zarana-X Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I already told you it looks great. If you think it's too dark, maybe break up the solidness of it with pinstriping or some simple graphics?
Sixties Sam Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Great color, great details, great model! Good work! Sam
Tom Geiger Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I like the dark color because the wheels, seats, and engine are performance-oriented. It's like a Porsche-fied Manx. In that sense, it's a perfect mature sports car color. It doesn't need to be loud like most Manxes. Agreed. I'd like to have a Manx for summer cruising in the open air. Just taking leisurely tours in the country side. Loud and vibrating wouldn't work with that!
robertw Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Keep it as it is. I've been watching your postings on this build and think its a great look. If you want a Manx in a brighter color then build another. You've proven with this one that you can be very creative when it comes to the Manx.
PatW Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Yes Bob it looks fantastic. I've had a big paint issue with my metalic red so I've taken it all off to repaint completely.
Craig Irwin Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Agreed. I'd like to have a Manx for summer cruising in the open air. Just taking leisurely tours in the country side. Loud and vibrating wouldn't work with that! Loud and vibrating pretty much sum up a Manx! They arn't a car for the timid.
TooOld Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Thank you everyone for your comments ! I have fun building these and will definitely build another one ! Yes Bob it looks fantastic. I've had a big paint issue with my metalic red so I've taken it all off to repaint completely. Sorry to hear that Pat , good luck with the repaint ! Loud and vibrating pretty much sum up a Manx! They arn't a car for the timid. I have to agree with you Craig . I like a more comfortable interior but it's still a Manx !
