Terry Jessee Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 We moved about three months ago and I've been unpacking since. I had a lot of projects I was just goofing with, but they're cool and I need to get back to them. Here's some of the light truck projects. Terry
Joker Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 The Suburban made me feel homesick. Seen them all my life on Texas roads and highways. Who makes it ? Is still available ?
Fabrux Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 The first picture, with the stepside C10; where did you source the wheels? I have a set of those hub caps and I've been thinking about using them on a similar truck. The wheels I'm pairing them with are from the Revell 41 Chevrolet pickup. The Kandy Van kit I got the hub caps from didn't have rims.

disabled modeler Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 There all nice but the Suburban is cool...!
Terry Jessee Posted December 15, 2013 Author Posted December 15, 2013 The Suburban is from Modelhaus. That one has a modified chassis from the MPC/AMT Chevy 4X4 kit series--the Fall Guy, Hardcastle, those kits. Wheels and hubcaps on the '78 Chevy are both from the AMT Chevy van.
SnakeBite Models Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Kool Trucks Terry. Off topic i sent u an Email on the 27th of November. Did u get it. Just wondering cause i never got one back lol. Thanks Ben
Armornv Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) Nice selection there! Really looking forward to the Burb and the late 70's stepper. Henway is pretty sweet too. I wish I could find a mid 80's non stepside short bed.... I have a real hankering to build a couple. Looking forward to what you do with these! Edited December 16, 2013 by Armornv
Fabrux Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Hey Clint, you can build up to an 82 Chev or 84 GMC non stepside short bed with the AMT 84 GMC/Fall Guy and MPC 81-82 Chev kits.
Armornv Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 ooh nice! I guess I'll be on the prowl for one of them then...
Tom Geiger Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Come on Terry! You can do it... which one will be your Christmas Amnesty project?? I just pulled this one down off the shelf, dates back to the pre-digital photo era! It's a replica of a brush painted truck a buddy-o-mine drove back in the day. I fitted the chassis under it for the first time this evening!
Davewilly Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I like the Burb. I will have to try and get me one. I had a 1:1 1984 4x4 one. I loved it!
uncle potts Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I've also got the Land Rover that needs to be redone looking forward to what you might be doing with yours.
Tom Geiger Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I've also got the Land Rover that needs to be redone looking forward to what you might be doing with yours. And why doesn't RM reissue the Land Rover?? I'd buy a few. Heck, Revell of Germany could clean up with them.
uncle potts Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 (edited) I've wondered the same, I would have bought another one to build the project I have in mind. But I'll just redo the one I have since its needs restored anyway. Edited December 21, 2013 by uncle potts
Chuck Most Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I see the infamous Henway Speed Six... that one deserves to be finished! And why doesn't RM reissue the Land Rover?? I'd buy a few. Heck, Revell of Germany could clean up with them. I've heard (but haven't confirmed) that the tooling was scrapped by Monogram. Even though it was a pretty good kit it was a colossal dud, sales-wise.
