I've never seen the 1981-85, either.

It would require some doing, but I'm wondering if you might be able to start with the MPC 1980, which at least has the quad lights and similar grille pattern?

FWIW, Southern Motorsports Hobbies (smhracing dot com) sells a resin, non-SS, '81-'85 nose for NASCAR use. It fits the Monogram Monte Carlo stockers, so would fit the 1/24 factory stock body too.

It would be a good start, but you'd still need to fab the headlights, turn signals and egg crate grille.

Newt's Boneyard has a vacuformed piece that looks like what you want but I'm not sure. Looks like you could modify it even if its not.

That's a Buick Regal front end, looks like.

I have followed this thread as I have wanted to build a replica of my car. I bought the Southern Motorsports Nascar Monte Carlo front end. Yes you can use on the 1/24 Monte Carlo SS body. You would use the headlight buckets from the SS kit. They are a perfect fit as are the turn signal lights. I also picked up a 80 Monte Carlo kit on E-bay for $5.00. The grill does need some modification but is not bad and can be done. The 80 kit also provides the wheel covers, as well as the correct non SS steering wheel. I will build this in time and post it in workshop area.
