Think Pink: Engine In, Suspension Started

While waiting for the weather to co-operate so I can paint my `68, I'm going to start my `70 Barracuda. Since no one has grabbed this one yet, I'm going to paint mine FM3, or Moulin Rouge (pink….) with a White interior. Pure eye candy…..

Details to follow……. B)

I know the owner, Pete, of the original Panther Pink Challenger pilot car from the`69 auto show circuit. It's a loaded Pink & White convertible and it's absolutely stunning in person. I might hack the roof off the `Cuda too. Need to research other threads for boot options...

Who's going to do FC7 / In Violet?

hey John, sounds like a really neat build. being a life long mopar fanatic like yourself, I know of the car and you are right, it's beautiful. a good friend of mine had a 70 440+6 cuda, pink with black interior. it's really a love it or hate it type of color. keep us posted.

I'm actually doing it in Pink because that's my Wife's favorite Hi-Impact color. Besides, why not? I'd never own something this, er…. visually LOUD, but I can appreciate it's attraction. And I am tempted to stuff in a Ross Gibson 440-6….. ;)

WOW!! lucky man, my wife has no clue about "hi-impact colors", 440's or anything like that. there are some great colors out there from mother mopar. I have not gotten my 70 cuda yet, but that is the way I planned on doing it, pink with a 440+6.

has anyone who has the 70 cuda test fitted a 440 in one yet? is there much monkeying around with lining up the shaker?

My wife knows what an M code `69 Barracuda is….

As for the 440-6, I'll get back to you on that. ;)

Looking forward with eager anticipation to watch this one develop John, the combo sounds like a pretty neat set up. B)

I know…. I know…. But there's a reason.

See, JEFFS396 first posted a convertible conversion last month. Great idea and I'm stealing it 100%. I secured the boot from Sean. I've dropped hints I was going to build one hoping Jeff would progress with his, but it hasn't gone that way. I just PM'ed Jeff on this since it was his idea first.

THAT'S why I'm dragging my feet. The engine is being painted today and most of the interior will be done tomorrow. I'm cutting off the roof later this afternoon. I have the paint, and there will be some moderate detailing. I should go together without too much drama from what I've seen. I just wanted to get in with a high-impact color on the first go-around with this kit.

I'll say it again. Build etiquette. B)
