stump Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Hi Lou, TDR are making some absolutely awesome parts, most being drawn up from real world counterparts as far as I know, so the detail is tremendous. Check this Shapeways site (they produce the parts for TDR) but be wary of price. Parts are still a tad high, but what yo get is priceless in my opinion. First class stuff. Depending on material chosen, costs also vary greatly. I have a few of their items, as do a few guys on here. 1/12 Camaro ProMod 1/12 Lenco trans 1/12 Turbos All parts are available in a wide range of scales too, so no matter what size you're after, they'll most likely have it.
booboo60 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Dog dang, lol, that tranny looks like the real deal, now.did.you.have too make.all the extras, or buy them from the same site, like the shifter. Linkage etc. I looked ait TDR, an seemed hard to navigate. Also limited on 1/24 1/25 stuff. But there is a statement about.trying too add more. An requests are takin, very neat stuff, for sure some of the best looking, man 3D printing is here,
DaytonaTim Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Hey Guys: This is Tim from TDR. Just wanted to make sure everyone knew about our new website. It is located at "TDRinnovations.com". By some of the comments above I got the feeling some were either looking at the Shapeways site or our old website. Use the address above and you will get to the new site. I think you will find it a lot easier and faster to find what you want. I don't have everything up at the new site just yet but I am working on it. The old sites are still active and there are links to the old sites toward the bottom of the home page. Thanks for the comments guys. We at TDR only have control over the quality and detail level of our parts. Unfotunately we have no control over the pricing, because we depend on other companies like Shapeways to print our parts. Maybe someday we will have our own commercial 3D printer, but until then we just do what we can do......... Happy Modeling Tim TDRinnovations.com
W-409 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Thanks for the guys at TDR for making these products! I have only two Turbochargers by TDR and I can say that they are very high quality. You have some interesting stuff and I will be buying more stuff when I need these parts. Only thing that's a bit sad is that many products can't be bought in 1/24 or 1/25 scale that I build... Is it because of the texture in 3D printed parts..? Though, the turbochargers that I have are very nice and I see that the texture is no problem. Especially the Pro Mod Bodies look interesting...And there is a frame too for that Camaro! That will make me buying that kit in some point... 1/25 Scale of course. Thanks For Great Products!!! -Niko
sk8erdave Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 went to tdrinnovations.com and whilst the products look great, theres no indication as to what scale they are
Daddyfink Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Pretty cool looking stuff, but, for the price of just the blower setup for the 426 Hemi in 1/16, I could get a complete Mark Johnson engine in 1/16th! I guess I can wait for the prices to come down.
DaytonaTim Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I would also like to recommend that you guys check out "tedsmodelingmarketplace.com". Ted is one of TDR's major retail sales outlets. Ted is able to buy in bulk from our Shapeways store and this can reduce the prices to you guys quite a bit on the 1/16 scale parts. So give his website a look if you get a moment. Ted also carries a lot of other products from other manufacturers that I am sure you guys will find interesting too.
Rob Hall Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 went to tdrinnovations.com and whilst the products look great, theres no indication as to what scale they are Actually, if you click on the link for a part, the scale is indicated in red in the left column.
om617 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Now if they only made those lovely twin-turbo kits in 1:25 scale.
matthijsgrit Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Now if they only made those lovely twin-turbo kits in 1:25 scale. AGREED :-) I would spend a lot, if this would be the case...
om617 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 AGREED :-) I would spend a lot, if this would be the case... Me too! I get so many ideas i dont even want to think about it : )

Be sure to see their other auctions too. Very reasonably priced. Other items in other scales. Edited January 14, 2014 by Greg Wann
