bosshog Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) I've got the bestest wifey ever. She's into my racing,r/c racing and now into modeling.she has built a few snaptites and wants to do her first full blown build without any help from me haha. She wanted me to make her a w.I.p thread so figures why not. More to come. Edited January 30, 2014 by bosshog
ImpalaBoy Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 You are a lucky man! This world needs more female modelers. They quite often have an even better eye for details than we do. Best of luck!
bosshog Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 She's great. An I agree 100% woman have a real eye for stuff and also don't get pissed as fast as I (we) do when it don't go right.
bosshog Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 The wifeys other two warm up builds. I love the vette.
divotdude Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I think it's awesome that your wife is into model building. I have that Charger kit and plan on building it with a Hemi I have from a dragster that is missing parts. Good luck little lady and enjoy yourself. More women should get into this hobby. Looking forward to seeing the finished project.
ImpalaBoy Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Awesome job on both! Did she paint the 'Vette, or was it molded in purple plastic?
bosshog Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Thanks guys, this is mrs bosshog lol stupid name. I'm thinking of painting black with metallic on a kinda camel colored interior
bosshog Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Moulded in purple just helped her do a good polish and wax on it, came out pretty nice for no paint.
Armornv Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 This is awesome. Lucky, lucky man you are sir! Women can definitely have a better eye for detail. Not too much into Ferrari's but the Vette is gorgeous! I'll be following along for sure on this and your 1/12 Camaro. Good luck to both of you!
bosshog Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Does she have a sister? LOL a few but not as cool haha i got the pickof the litter hahaha
PappyD340 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Excellent job Mrs. Deering, your builds look fantastic especially the Vette, so I don't forsee any problems with you doing the Charger!! I think it's great that you guys share an interest in the same hobby, Keep up the great work guys!!
~Mark~ Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I'm chiming in so I can follow her build. I show my wife my builds and she's like, "Looks good" and then looks up. LOL
bosshog Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 I'm chiming in so I can follow her build. I show my wife my builds and she's like, "Looks good" and then looks up. LOL Lol yeah I've seen that look a couple of times haha. While I'm at work she's studying her instructions and tonight we start
~Mark~ Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I use to have that car, so let me know how the details are, I may be interested in building one.
Scale-Master Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I show my wife my builds and she's like, "Looks good" and then looks up. LOL I often get "You're so funny" when I share my modeling progress with my wife. She used to build too, but she found other hobbies she enjoys more. I must admit it was fun while it lasted when she would build across the bench from me.
bosshog Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 I'm just hoping after 20 years of building she don't out do me lol
Scale-Master Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I'm just hoping after 20 years of building she don't out do me lolYeah, turned out my wife was a natural at airbrushing. She'd watch me, then copy.Come to think of it, it was about the time I had her start cleaning it up after she sprayed that she started getting "tired" of building...
bosshog Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 Update one, she did all her body prep and sanding
