bosshog Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 She's having builders block she says and I'm afraid loosing interest. Help me out guys get her motivated lol
1930fordpickup Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Her paint work is great . You two are a lucky pair. Not many couples share a hobby , but the ones that do have fun.
cobraman Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Keep er' goin'. The hardest part is done. You have a nice paint job. Ask most people why the give up a build and they will tell you paint problems. Don't give up ! Maybe when she finishes you can take her out for a movie and a nice dinner ??? I said a nice dinner, not Taco Bell or McDonalds. : )
brassbuilder Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Don't stop!!! Make sure she knows we are all looking forward to progress. Mike

I said a nice dinner, not Taco Bell or McDonalds. : ) Oh I agree Wendy's is much better Lol. She thought paint was the easy part, but now that there's a pile of parts to be painted and glued she very intimidated, she afraid of what I'm gonna think if she messes up and also is afraid of what people on here might say. I keep telling her that both this and scale auto are some really good guys. I've seen some really nice and really not so nice builds on these sites and the bad ones get almost as much love as the spectacular. shell get there I layed out all her colors with the parts that go with em and now that the piles are smaller she's a little more confident
Armornv Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I say keep it going! Judging by the paint and polish she laid down on the body, I KNOW the rest will turn out spectacular! I can't wait to see it finished!
bosshog Posted January 17, 2014 Author Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) Not sure but think she missed a step. Lol shh I'm gonna fix it while she's a work. Edited January 17, 2014 by bosshog
cobraman Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 What's going on here ? Did she throw in the towel ? Hope not.
bosshog Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 Should have more to post hopefully tomorrow. We've both been so dang busy but luckily she should get a few hours in tomorrow.
bosshog Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) Very small update. After a week off I've finally got her energized again to pick up the kit and get back to it. Got the firewall and some of the front end work done. Hopefully more to come soon. She told me to finish it cause she was nervous but I said this is your car and you did beautiful on the paint and that even if she screws up everything else at least you don't have to see it once the body is on. bosshog Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 That's pretty cool she did almost the whole front end without me. I was at a business meeting and when I came home ...bam it was donish
Belugawrx Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Lookin good so far Keep workin' on it even if it's just small steps' it's not a race The hardest part for Deb is not taking everything out of the box at once!!lol Make it yours and drive it like you stole it Have fun Keep on buildin'
Skypower Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Looking great, I'm new to modeling and took me 2 months to get my first build done sort of, still need to paint body but weather has not been to nice. My 2nd build is taking just as long, tell her to just have fun with it when its done its done who cares how long it takes just enjoy sharing your passions with each other. Its all about the journey. Awesome work so far. Bob
