I dont know if this is the right place for this. I tried to call the number on Pace's web site to order one of their booths, and the phone numbers are disconnected. Anyone know if they are still in business. If not anyone have any ideas on a good indoor paint booth for airbrushing?

Thanks

Just found out this last week end. Tried to get some new filters, can't get those either. FYI get some "batting" from JoAnn's fabrics. Your wife/girlfriend will know all about that stuff. At least it's cheep.

filters are readily available at any hardware store that sells furnace filters...which is what they use.

as for expecting an answer to email sent two hours ago...I would say give it a few more hours before you start filling the grave.

if they are out of business there are two ways I can look at it: there goes another "lifetime" guarantee down the drain...or kool now I got a collectors item.

This booth is about the best buy around http://www.amazon.com/Paasche-HSSB-22-16-Hobby-22-Inch-18-Inch/dp/B0038DANR6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1389753756&sr=8-4&keywords=paasche+Spray+Booth I have been using one for 13 yrs without troublke. I tuses a Dayton style blower(motor outside airstream) I use 2" X 20" furnace filters(green ones) from Walmart, less than $3 for a 4 pk. I use white freezer paper top line it.

Guys- do any of you spray high volume stuff in your booths like Krylon / Rustoleum / Duplicolor large cans?

Do these booths handle that or are they better suited to airbrush only?

i have an artograph 1530, absolutely love it!! i spray enamel, lacquer, walmart spray bombs, rustoleum etc in it. it's a great size, i can fit tractor trailer sides in it etc.. if you keep the filters clean, you almost don't have to vent it outside, lacquer smells a bit, but not too bad. i highly recommend it. if you do get one, buy the extra roll of top 'sheets', you'll be glad ya did.

I use the heck out of it...

I also should mention, it's metal, not flimsy pressed card board, and the whole top hood is removeable.

Cato, it has 3 filters. 2 lower, and a 'sheet' that goes on top. the lowest one I have not touched, the second filter I have vacuumed the debris/dust out of twice, and the top filter 'sheet' I usually change when it gets covered in over spray, or acts like it's impeding airflow thru it. this is why I suggest buying the extra roll of 'top sheet' filter paper, as that you will go thru rather quickly.

I have a pace peacemaker, and I use Tamiya and model master buzzcans a lot of the time, only really use the airbrush to paint delicate stuff, and it doesn't have any problem exhausting the odor. I have heard it might not be great to really get a lot of paint going but so far for me it just gets gone. very nice airflow with this booth.
