still have some more bars to make up but all that was done in about 14 hrs whilst stopping to chat to people about what I was doing and how etc. Club was there with a display, showing people modelling is still alive and well.

Thanks guys. Usually I just take an ordinary kit along, tidy up mold lines etc maybe glue some sub assemblies or do a bit of detail painting. Takes up most of the 1st morning, Feet were killing me before we even left, so knew I wouldn't be up to much walking around, so I decided to start on this and show another facet of modelling , ( that and I knew it was gonna take a while :) ).

Larry, the stopping to talk/ explain etc gave my eyes and mind a break. Dont usually find these all that difficult to make, but man, the scrutiny in which some people watched, made me feel real self conscious .

Andy, the club has done a display at the Kumeu Classic Car and Hot Rod Festival for the last ten years, the only year we didnt attend, the public kept asking why, (and not only the club but promoters, local car mags etc). Its been quite good, usually pick up a couple new members or help people find that elusive kit, show off some of our builds etc. One Mustang owner was so taken with my replica of his 1:1 ( blown big block 69) that as I didnt want to sell at that time brought his car over to have photos of them together. arrangements have been put in place for me to build him another, just need a correct hood and another set of wheels

That is spectacular Brett. I don't think I could have sat there and worked that diligently in front of curious folks even if my feet hurt. :D

Kudos to you.

Nice replica btw.

Brett... Spectacular work my friend. That chassis looks awesome. So cool you were able to do it in front of a crowd. I am looking forward to seeing more of this build.

O-K, I let Robert (Thumper) know how much I hate him for his outstanding talent in scratch-building chassis, now I hate you too! LOL!, great looking chassis Brett, can't wait to see the finished project!
