kjc99 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Made this as a replica of my Dad's 95 f150 plow truck. Its is a kit bash of the GMC plow truck and the AMT F150 xlt. I took the suspension, wheels, tires and the plow parts from the GMC and the rest is from the ford kit. The only thing that I had to live with being inaccurate is the 5.8 v8 engine (the real truck has the 4.9 v6). Overall I'm very happy with this model and the kit, my only issue was the bed not sitting quite right, I cut off all the tabs on the back to try and fix it but that's just how it wants to be on there and I can live with it. It was fun to do a replica of my dad's truck that was the important part. I want to figure out how to find or maybe print out some fisher decals for the plow but until then it's on the shelf.
jeffbrad Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Should've had the 4.9/300 ci straight six,no? Once the Moebius kits come out you'll have the right engine available.
kjc99 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Thanks everyone glad to hear good reviews , and Jeff it is supposed to have that motor, I might switch it once I get one of the Mobius fords (if they ever come out haha I've been waiting forever!) but for now the 5.8 will have to do.
