Just finished this one up, what a nightmare kit to build, and somewhat crude in the engine compartment, but I'm still thankful we have these old AMT annual Matadors. This one is a '75 that I've converted to a base Matador, instead of the Matador X. The color is a pretty much dead on match to AMC Green Apple. Interior is two tone beige, under the hood is the stock AMC 360-2bbl V-8, all I did was add wires and dist. I used old Firestone Supreme white walls, with full wheel covers that are a close match to the stock AMC caps that no one ever made in scale. I have more time in getting everything lined up on the front end on this kit, than I have in BMF. Hope you guys enjoy this wacky '70's bone stock Mat.

Now that's a Matador! Sorry, couldn't resist! Very nice, but don't let Harry see it, you forgot mirrors!

Looking at this I can hear "The Hustle" by Van Mcoy.

I have had this kit for years and that goofy fit problem just ticks me off so I just stop. Maybe by next decade I will get a few steps closer.

Great work!

I just saw it. And you are absolutely correct! I don't think even one single factory-stock Matador came off the assembly line without any mirrors. ^_^
