goodwin3224 Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Looking good man! I'm really digging those front fenders. I'm thinking about trying to make something similar for the truck I'm working on now, but with the stance I'm going for, I'm afraid it would be too much of a lip. Thank you. I have to straighten up a few things on the fenders like in the front they angle and I need to raise the rear a bit. They are a tad too low and I don't want them to collect small rocks lol
Ray_Ray Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Hey man, you might check with this guy about a custom bumper. I know he makes some for 1/25 scale but he might be able to help you out> http://stores.ebay.com/Trick-My-Plastic-Truck-Model?_trksid=p2047675.l2563
goodwin3224 Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 OK cool thanks man I will do that Before
goodwin3224 Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Heck yeah lol. I found a stick of stainless 4ft 3/4 diameter for 10 bucks. I'd rather use stainless than aluminum. Couldn't pass it up
72 Charger Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Justin thats pretty cool useing stainless for stacks its going to be killa .
goodwin3224 Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Thanks. I was a machinest and I always noticed that stainless although harder to cut held a better and longer shine than aluminum with less upkeep
goodwin3224 Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Power line cutters. Ha just playing I still have to cut them down to their actual size
slusher Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Justin, your truck is looking very cool keep up the awesome work...

72 Charger Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Justin your doing well the rear fender looks good
rcdave Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Glad you reworked the fenders, looks much better. A big Texas bumper like the 1 on my truck will fit nice. I got my bumper custom made from the ebay seller in post #77 but I don't think his brake is big enough to do a 14th scale. You should use 1/16 stainless. Harbor Freight has 2 different sized breaks cheap but I don't know how good they are. Here's a high traffic forum for the King Hauler. If you havn't seen it you should spend some time there, many impressive builds.

And yeah I'm glad I did to I did like the old ones to a point but they were bugging me to much so I kick them out and went the other way. And yeah I saw those brakes at harbor freight. I was thinking of getting my metal cut and marked then doing a in store "quality test" on one to get my bends haha
goodwin3224 Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Work bench is almost done. Just need to put some lower leg bracing
