chunkypeanutbutter Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Hey there! This is my first ever post! I don't like the normal everyday model car, usually (except for my Datsun 240 kit ). Thusly, I make rusty cars, as opposed to shiny ones. And here's one, a 1970s K4 Blazer. I made the Bondo out of patching plaster with red paint added until it looked almost right (I know it is not perfect :/) and I painted it with model railroad paints. The junk is quite assorted, from a TV, to paint cans, eight batteries, and some other stuff I forgot about? Opinions? Suggestions? Your rusty builds?
BIG NICKY Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 that looks pretty cool I used to drive past a truck like that everyday......And welcome to the forum
MsDano85gt Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 that is very cool i like my vehicles "pre Rot" and "let go" from years of neglect but that is awsomely done! welcome to the styrene friend
Guest Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Very nice. One thing, I would not have left the steering wheel in that junked dash. Otherwise great work.
Teddy J. Tannehill Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 My Dad used to build model airplanes he also liked trains he said it was more difficult to age them. I think the same can be said for cars and trucks. Welcome aboard. I am looking forward to seeing more of your "Barn Finds".
chunkypeanutbutter Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 I love weathering... It gives more character than shininess
