I really love trying to get that feel for the times. The colors I choose help do that. This one is GM fathom green metallic with clear. Four shades of green were used on the car. I am sorry for the poor lighting, I may post an update with sunlight. I really like this car when it sits next to my 72 thunderbird. Thanks for looking!

Another nice one! I've never been much of a Riviera fan myself, but a lot of people really love them. I remember people growing up who were "religious" about their Rivs! It's almost like a "cult" thing. A lot of people who like them seem to be bonkers over them! :) Good job Lucas!

Beautiful! How did you do the lettering?

Lettering done by applying foil before paint. Then carefully remove top layer of paint once cured exposing the foil on the raised letters. Old trick which I have seen others do on this Fourum. Thank you all for the kind comments!

I love Rivieras. And I love your's Lucas (even without mirrors, Harry). The only thing I was confused by, is you titled this as "1969 Buick Riviera Soft Top". To me a "soft top" is a convertible. I opened this post expecting to see a custom '69 Riv convertible. Instead I find a very, very nice '69 Riviera hardtop with a vinyl roof. I'm not a big fan of vinyl roofs. But yours looks great.

Sleek and subtle. Only thing you need is a miniature guardrail on the edge of the deck railing - you'd have a great 1/25 scale causeway for your photos. And don't feel bad about the clouds - it adds to the mood.

That green does look nice on that. Maybe I'll do that on mine. Some colors weren't available on the Riv, some were Riv-only, but in those days, GM would be happy to paint it anyway you wanted for a small extra charge. That one may not have been, I'll have to look.

A very nice build. GM was using rectangular mirrors by then, I think, so if you find one of those, you'll be all set.

Chris also has a good point- with a guard-rail (which you can make removable,) the shade of grey-white on your deck rail and the nice scenery in the background does give a very convincing depth-of-field for a roadside scene.
