mitchell Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Did this car for charity auction in Hong Kong. Hope it will fetch good dollar for the auction. This kit is so good that I am building one right now for myself. That one will be more fun and technical. Here are some outdoor shot I took of this Blue Beetle.
DeeCee Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 If the pics were taken from a certain distance, it would look real. Great job i reckon.
StevenGuthmiller Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 The paint looks terrific Mitch!! You picked a great place to shoot the pics! All that "diffused" light from the trees overhead really shows off the shine! Great job! Steve
Speedfreak Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) Very, very nice Mitchell! That paint job/color is awsome, looks almost 1:1. Engine work looks superb as well. I'd bid on that model. Edited May 4, 2014 by Speedfreak
mitchell Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 thanks for all the positive comment. The second Beetle is well on it's way. I damaged the clear parts on the blue car so I got this one for the windows. This new red/white one will be built with quite a bit patina build into it, to cover the fogged windows.
Plastheniker Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Outstanding finish and perfect colour choice on an excellent kit. It seems to be really worth to build a second model.
6bblbird Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 If the goal is to build models to look as realistic as possible, this one scores the highest possible score! Beautiful! WF
