A stolled project that i picked up a couple days ago. Was ment to be in the Gumball build, but was never finished.

The body is some 65 mustang dont know the manufacturer of it, the new widened backfenders are from Amt 67 mustang gt the front spoiler is part 65 part some partbox spoiler as is the back spoiler.

But let the pictures talk for them self

The bits and peaces that may or may not go into the car

Good start mate, i like body customs, it takes guts to cut up a kit i reckon, then work how the hell your going to fix it. :)

DeeCee You start whit a vision and go on from that and hope that you will follow it thru. Iw got an extensive boneyard of stolled project where the vision has died.

Step 1

Did find some metal wheel in my part box. Wrapped the flare to bee around it and gave some heat whit a heardryer

Thanks for showing us regular progress shots.

I've never had the courage to alter the shape of a car beyond a roof chop.

I like to see the transformations of builds. This looks like it's going to be very good!

The project is stalling. Does any one have a spear 06 Mustang front that they could think of getting rid of? Iv run into front spoiler issue. Cant seem to come up whit anything desent that i would be happy whit. Ideas please :)

Patami... I think your project is stalling because you've gone about doing the mods the wrong way/ wrong materials.

First, do you have reference pictures of what you want to accomplish - of a real 1:1 Widebody Mustang?? If not, Google ( images ) 1965 Mustang wide body. I have done this already & you will find a particular blue '65 widebodied Mustang. You can use this as a design study for your build.

2nd... Using styrene for the widened front/rear fenders is too messy & time consuming. Try getting some Tamiya 2-part epoxy putty. This stuff is perfect for your mods. You can shape it around the wheel-wells & once dry you can sand it into the shape you're trying to achieve. ??

Hope this helps ?

Cheers Cliff

This is the epoxy putty you will need...
