Russell C Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) And friends, for those who don't know, Dan has a blog of spectacular 3D auto art he's drawn, my 3-wheeler '49 Ford was inspired by his sectioned '51 Fords. Remember, this stuff translates to 3D printing, as one person has already used Dan's work to do that. Edited April 25, 2020 by Russell C fixed busted photo link 1

mikevillena Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Oh, I missed this earlier.... Great stuff! Wondering what software you used.
Palat Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 Thanks all. @mikevillena: i use 3DSMAX for the modeling and VRay for the renders. Some more images: 1
weasel Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 oh my!!!! that 33, 34, the blue one... melts my butter....
mikevillena Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Thanks all. @mikevillena: i use 3DSMAX for the modeling and VRay for the renders. Some more images: Beautiful job, Dan. By the looks of it VRAY is better suited to auto art with excellent effects. Really outstanding!
Palat Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Thanks all again. Mike, I don't know if it's the best rendering solution... It does suit me, fairly fast and simple. But then i am always experimenting new settings. I have been numbering my creations and found a good way to do it. Hope you like some examples.
FullPowerGarage Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) If you just model a background like a street, woods, etc.. I would think this is real! This is so nice! Edited June 8, 2014 by FullPowerGarage
mikevillena Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Beautiful work Dan. Incorporating a virtual "box" with the model increases the appeal to modellers even more. Again, really beautiful stuff!
kennb Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Dan...i have just loved looking at your work for years....totally gorgeous.......your skill in the medium is top notch.
