freakshow12 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) Hey folks, had a few of these sitting here and decided to build what I would have ordered in 70. I sanded down the wheel wells a bit and prepped some parts. Paint is tamiya met blue it will have white no console interior, white stripe, body color bumpers, rocker trim and steelies. What do you think? Pics once I get home Edited July 19, 2014 by freakshow12
freakshow12 Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 First color coat. It's ts-19. Very early in but should pop nice once cleared
freakshow12 Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 All body color parts sprayed and clear going on. I really dig this blue. Should look good with the white
mod3l Lover Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Wow, that's some shiny blue there! The clear made a huge difference on that. Your Cuda is going to look incredible. David S.
DeeCee Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Sweet color mate, going to look great i reckon with the white accents.
freakshow12 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Thanks guys. Clear is all done. Rest will be done with elbow grease lol. Steel wheels turned out good and I used different tires. Now I need the right hubcaps. Thought the 68 charger ones would work but they are different : (
slusher Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I might be wrong but I believed I seen a post or article that the dog dis would be Monaco caps like on Rosco's car...
jeffs396 Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Looks GREAT Fred! Someone is making aluminum dog dishes in the aftermarket, they were a featured 'new product' in MCM a few issues ago???
Bonekrosha Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 The older dog dishes do not have the "cooling Holes" like the later 70's police car had. I'll find a pic in a few...
JTalmage Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 The dog dish caps from Revell's '70 RoadRunner should work. I used them on another model at one time as well. Should give you that look you're going for. http://www.amazon.com/Revell-Monogram-Plymouth-Road-Runner/dp/B00643LK10
1272148 Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I really love the paint, the hemi cuda' has always been my dream car
