signmike
I found this on the web. I think it is only at the concept stage for now but I though this would be a great project. Edited June 10, 2014 by signmike
Brett Barrow
I like it! Thie concept looks a lot like a DTM car. The actual Camaro GTR race cars aren't that far removed from the street car: Edited June 10, 2014 by Brett Barrow

signmike
I noticed the actual race cars were like your pics. This one I think could only be an exercise of style. Could'nt find infos on it. if anybody finds a hint somewhere, please let me know. Might be only photoshop pics but I sure like it and will build it. So I'll change the title to Camaro Race Car ... I love the scheme, I think I will reproduce it in decal form. Edited June 10, 2014 by signmike

Crazy Ed
Looks a lot like an updated IMSA GT car from the late 70's. This ought to be an interesting build.

GLMFAA1
Looks like a nice project, I don't know how far you've gotten on the cutting but here is my suggestion. move the running light pod out and enlarge the scoop. happy puttying greg
signmike
Greg you are just a tad ahead of me as I choped the fog lamps opening tonight to enlarge the vent opening. I filled it with my plastic mud ( sprue melted in liquid cement) Next session I'll work on smoothing the opening surround and start making the new fog lamp pods. I think they are brake vents and not fog lamps. I'll post pics tomorrow
signmike
Here are the pics of the progress. First I made some framing and then applied manyb thin coats of catalysed putty: I added a lip to the bumper to extend the edge a little

Lunajammer
That's some ambitious sculpting but it looks like you're getting it right and seems to be paying off. Keep going.
