crazyjim Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Finished this a couple of days ago and used Testors Italian red on it. It's pretty much box stock except for engine wiring with a Fatkidd style distributor and fuel filter.
cobraman Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Very sharp "Goat ". You can really crank them out !!!
crazyjim Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Thank you Ray. I always have 3 builds on the bench at any one time. A custom '49 Ford is kicking my butt right now so it'll take longer than the garbage truck and Wagon Rod.
Silver Foxx Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 This looks great , real nice paint and detail .
unclescott58 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Another nice one Jim. By the way, I'm just wondering, how long does it take you to build a kit? It seems like we're seeing a new one from you every couple of days. And all of them sure look nice. You must not have a real job, or what? I maybe can get four out in one month at most. And no where to the quality of yours. In my eyes, you are a master. I bow down to you. Scott
Harry P. Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Very nice. Super slick paint, and your usual wild interior! (but that air filter shouldn't be chrome!)
Maxicoop Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Awesome lookin' 69 ...... wild interior and great paint ..........and the engine looks super too ...............just one great lookin' goat !!!
crazyjim Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 Thank you all so very much. Scott - I'm retired. Most of my mornings are spent on the computer and/or working in the yard. Afternoons are in the shop building models. Until 5pm when I come home for cocktails. Harry - the air filter was shot with Alclad. I guess I should have put a wash on the filter portions.

I'm envious. So how many models are you getting done in a month - week on an average? Don't get me wrong. I like that your getting a lot of models done and posted here. I think you do a great job. I'm just wondering? Scott
crazyjim Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 Well Scott, I once used a stop watch to track my time on a particular build - never again. There a '49 Ford on my bench that's in it's 3rd week of work ('57 Chevy headlights, '57 T-Bird taillights, radius & flared rear wheel wells, and more). It's requiring extensive body work and that takes me time. I also have a '40 Ford pickup with a VW bus where the box was. That one has been on the bench for several months. I posted 3 builds in the last couple of days but they were completed, pics taken, and sat around a few days before posting them.
Prince Ital Mike Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Very nice, especially on that outdoor picture!
Chris White Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 super nice build Jim, what great kit to build, I hope yours was a s much fun as mine was to build
crazyjim Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Thank you Lee & Chris. They're all fun builds, Chris.
