JollySipper Posted May 25, 2017 Author Posted May 25, 2017 Well, Guys, it's been two months...... By now I should know all her faults/quirks. She's still as easy a dog as you could want...... She has a little edginess and anxiety around other dogs, probably has never been properly socialized. Here's a pic I took this evening, everyone tells me she looks 100% better since I've been taking care of her.... Sorry if it's a bit blurry, she's a bit camera shy! Quote
JollySipper Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 I am so loving this dog, man........ They really are great dogs! Here's a pic inspired by ms. Callie Pants............ it's color pencil. Quote
JollySipper Posted March 22, 2018 Author Posted March 22, 2018 I hope you guys don't mind me bumping this, but today is a year that I've had Callie! I won't post a pic, but she's doing just fine........... Â Quote
OldTrucker Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 I have known at least 4 families with this breed of dog and every one was a big baby! Just like with what they call a pit bull, it is all about how they are raised from a pup that determines what the dogs temperament will be! Same goes for any breed dog for that matter! My daughter-in-law is a Vet Tech and they have 2 they got from Pittie Rescue, one was severely mistreated and had been burned on her back and head. It took a while for her to trust people but she took to their kids immediately and is the most loving dog you will find! Quote

That's something she never gets enough of! and she enjoys ruling our little huddle from her Own recliner........ Quote

JollySipper Posted June 22, 2019 Author Posted June 22, 2019 A little grayer, a little more spoiled...... Â Quote
stavanzer Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 What a great looking dog! All of ours are rescues, as well. Glad you saved one. Quote
JollySipper Posted June 24, 2019 Author Posted June 24, 2019 Thank You! If you look at the pics of when I first got her, you can see how skinny she was and how far she's come..... a little TLC and a healthy food goes a long way..... Quote
stavanzer Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 She Does look good. Ours are a Chihuahua, and Doxie-Pin and a Siberian Shepard. Quote
JollySipper Posted September 11, 2020 Author Posted September 11, 2020 My old dog! I'm having to change up her food..... She was eating Taste of the Wild "Pacific Stream", but it's starting to not agree with her, so I'm moving her to something called American Journey for senior dogs. It's got lots of good stuff in it to help with arthritis, something these dogs deal with....... Â Quote
JollySipper Posted April 1, 2023 Author Posted April 1, 2023 Guys, it sucks to have this to post, but I lost Callie yesterday........... She was in kidney failure, and having a bunch of problems with mobility and bodily functions. We took her to the vet to have her put to sleep. They have a small room with a couch where they can just relax. She passed with her head in my lap......... She was the BEST dog...... 1 Quote
TransAmMike Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 So sad. We have "lost" so many of our dear pets over the years and they always live on in our memories. Very sorry for you loss TJ. Quote
JollySipper Posted April 2, 2023 Author Posted April 2, 2023 Thanks, man..... It was the right thing to do, but that didn't make it any easier......... Quote
TonyK Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 So sorry for this. We did it at home with my dog lying in my lap. Worst day of my life and I'm sure yours too. Hang in there though I know it's hard. Quote
