A modeler named mike Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 (edited) Yesterday some crazy nut on a crotch rocket come up the center line of the two lanes heading north I was traveling on. We were all moving at 55 mph, he had to be going close to 90 mph blowing by us like we were standing still. I watch the nut weave in and out of traffic and times passing on the narrow shoulder till he was out of sight. These are the kind of idiots give bike riders a bad name. Yes, but they very often provide extensive training and practice for paramedics! 4 1

Since AZ passed a law about lane splitting, I've been seeing more donorcycles. Not this extreme, but still dying for a Darwin Award. This is down the street from my mechanic, snapped the picture when walking to Circle K. Good way to accelerate rot is keeping the windows down. I was getting a positrac in the differential. Cougar makes it look like we time travelled. 4

This is an unfortunate problem here as well. They are often called Organ Doners.

Out here police officers commuting to and from work do the same thing, except they go much faster.

TarheelRick Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 (edited) Not really on the road, but saw this row of turtles on a floating log when I went fishing last week. Edited April 26, 2024 by TarheelRick 6

A modeler named mike Posted April 27, 2024 Posted April 27, 2024 This little van was behind me at the traffic light. I didn't get to see the vehicles badges so I can only guess what it was. Japanese? Very small compared to other small cars in traffic along side it. Looks like a fun thing to drive around town.
RSchnell Posted April 27, 2024 Posted April 27, 2024 Spotted this in Ollie's parking lot this morning.... The '56 Chevy is an example of how not to paint a car & attach stainless trim. They used screws instead of the correct clips and even pout a few pieces on upside down. But it can be yours! It's in Cocoa Beach, FL if you have a great desire to check it out. LOL
FoMoCo66 Posted April 27, 2024 Posted April 27, 2024 (edited) I saw a 69 Camaro outside a Mexican restaurant today. Looks like a pretty sweet 70s street machine inspired build. You can never go wrong with Cragars on a Camaro. Edited April 28, 2024 by FoMoCo66 Mistype
sfhess Posted April 27, 2024 Posted April 27, 2024 36 Chevy 2-door sedan and a 47-48 Plymouth 4-door, both in the local Pilot station.

Rob Hall Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 On a long weekend break down in SE Ohio on the river in Marietta and saw several interesting cars the last couple days. An early 00s Thunderbird, an MG-B in my hotel parking lot along with a 1st gen Honda Insight—haven’t seen one of those in forever. And a C8 coupe. Saw an ‘70 Mustang notchback w/ Mach 1 style stripes while driving, and a black ‘72 Chevelle in nice shape. Last pic is my Caddy—very comfortable road trip car.
FoMoCo66 Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 I saw a Carvana vending machine on the highway today. Didn't have time for a picture so here's one from the internet. It was pretty interesting, and weird at the same time.
OldNYJim Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 Cool little mini truck that caught my eye…and not technically on the road, but not worth a thread of it’s own probably, Mario’s Indycar… 1
Chinacar Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 first one I've seen on the road...the $400,000 Porsche 911 Dakar
