angelo7 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Are those slammed trucks for show only or do they work like any other trucks out there? They look nice though.
Petetrucker07 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 This truck has air ride on the steer axle. The shop installed a dump valve do it sit that low while parked. But there are trucks that sit low that work everyday. In the 10-4 magazine there are countless laid out trucks that work. James davis has an orange and black 379 you cant roll a baseball under the bumper. If you look on tenfourmagazine.com youll see 25 years worth of monthly cover trucks
Petetrucker07 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Also, a lot of car haulers sit that low so they can haul SUVs on the top rack and not be too tall
trick my mixer Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I have seen them sitting lower than that rolling down the hiway. Then you get the ones that sit low enough they have a flip up bumper on the front that with a switch in the cab they cam make the bumper flip outwards to get into low parking lot / drive way entrances......Praise The Lowered....
scale trucker Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 get them on the ground..srs out of Connecticut has a few that are real low
Longbox55 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Don't see anything like that around here, but then again, Illinois roads would pretty much destroy a truck that sat that low! Out here, high ride height is your friend.
Petetrucker07 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I dont see very many non construction trucks ridin high in so cal, we like em low and long
Force Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) The car hauler axles are 1 ½ inch drop from a regular axle and are widely used together with single leafs and air bags together. Petetrucker: Hesperia, Ca...I have been there lots of times, I have a friend who lives on Cottonwood Ave. Edited July 17, 2014 by Force

Jim B Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 They should come here to Upstate New York in the winter. We could use the extra snow plows!
Old Buckaroo Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I believe the "Texas Bumper" was originally built to scrape Armadillos off the roads
bigmerc2003 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Also don't forget that bumpers that low have hydraulic rams that flip them up so the track has extra clearance
