The Revell Saleen convertible kit had a large rear spoiler, and there was a Revell modified '94-98 coupe with a large rear spoiler, molded in IIRC. Neither were what I'd consider a 'whale tail', though...at least not in the Porsche sense.

The Monogram '89 Mustang convertible kit had a rear spoiler similar to the Saleen style on the white car in the above post, IIRC.

The Mustang SVO had a dual-plane spoiler; is that what you're talking about? I know the similar vintage European Ford Sierra had a rather large dual-plane spoiler that was called a whale tail.

Could you be referring to the SuperStallion show car?

Yes, that was the kit I was thinking of..the wing is integral to the decklid IIRC.

Frank I think I may have a spare Saleen wing from the Black Monogram Convertible kit if you still need it. May take me a couple days to find my box though. This is the kit that had the Fox Saleen wings.

Frank, it looks like I removed the Saleen wing for another project that went dormant OR I misplaced it. I'm reorganizing this weekend and will try again.

There IS a factory tail. I have one laying around that I was going to use on an LX project, but never did. Mine was made in 1987, and has the factory part number E7ZB-6141602-ABĀ  1.
