Bowtienutz Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I've been very happy with tdr.innovations products. What other vendors are out there? Anyone making Semi truck parts?

my80malibu Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 If you saw a product on Shapeways in HO scale could your have it printed in 1/25 scale?
Chief Joseph Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 If you saw a product on Shapeways in HO scale could your have it printed in 1/25 scale? Sometimes you can contact the designer of the item and they can make it available in a different size. Look on the right side of the product page for a "contact designer" message link.

Lownslow Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 (edited) Interesting could you post some pictures here of your products in the finished condition with a tire i'm curious to see what tire fits your wheels. most of my wheels fit pegasus tires, sometimes i draw my own tires to fit wheels or make the wheel fit a car with the tire looking odd and sometimes i dont need tires Edited July 27, 2014 by Lownslow
Bowtienutz Posted July 27, 2014 Author Posted July 27, 2014 Are the ones on the brickyard truck also usable on a big rig can you show a picture with a mobieus tire?
Lownslow Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 (edited) Are the ones on the brickyard truck also usable on a big rig can you show a picture with a mobieus tire? Theyre 24" on a 22" tire. The wheels are one offs i dont plan on making more than 1 set. Edited July 27, 2014 by Lownslow
robertburns Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I'm pretty happy with Shapeways. There will be more Shapeways like services that will pop up as the prices for the machines continue to come down. I've used Quick Parts, Protolabs, Solid Concepts. Keep in mind, SLA parts are not archival! They are not solid materials and will eventually warp. Best to mold and cast those parts. FDM and SLS are fine. SLS is hard to sand (can use super glue as a sealer)
