olsbooks Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Going to the pawn shop and trading a model I put together for an old, decent laptop computer with windows 7.
Tom Geiger Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 I have to spend the weekend preparing the NJ house for sale. My younger daughter called this evening to volunteer to help me paint and clean all weekend! They do eventually grow up!
olsbooks Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 Wow! And said with no remorse, fear, or dread! Not even concern about how much it will cost! Dad done good with her. Congrats!
Rob Hall Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 (edited) I love fall weather. After several rainy days last week, the sun came out yesterday. Took a drive to see fall colors over in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. But the fall colors are great also in my front yard (big oak out front) and in my backyard Edited November 4, 2018 by Rob Hall

Reminds me of where I was a little kid. The trees are just starting to turn here. Went for a six mile hike up at Kennesaw Mtn. I'm very pleased I can do six miles again without being crippled afterwards. I had slid pretty far down the out-of-shape slope, and the older I get, the tougher it is to come back.

russosborne Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 That's one of the big things I miss about Ohio. But then in another month or two you will be smothered in that white evil stuff. Loved seeing it outside the window, hated driving in it every day to work. Russ
olsbooks Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Loved playing in mountains of leaves as a kid. About time to do that again . Too many decades absent. The leaves are calling. To heck with what others say or think. Peace.
James2 Posted November 5, 2018 Author Posted November 5, 2018 Nice pix. I love the fall best of all. We have a heavily treed lot, and all those leaves belong to them there trees. They can pick'em up!

And amazingly, the ones that don't just blow away break down and dissolve back into the earth over winter. So far, my grass has never once complained.

That's the way it should work nutrients for the tree too. I'd say Scots Fertilizer convinced people to start blowing/raking their yards...
olsbooks Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 (edited) Conspiracy all long. I should have known. We do work nature will handle on its own and give others money as a result of our constant meddling and arrogance thinking we know better. Yup...I'll stick with playing in them. Peace. NYLIBUD Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Love the fall too, much better than the heat and humidity of the summer. But that does mean winter is just around the corner.Ah there's always something for us humans to complain about.
crazyjim Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 It was 78 degrees and 90% humidity today. I could work in the only for an hour. So much for fall in FLA.
oldnslow Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Yep , hot as all get out for November. , but the garden loves it .
cowboy rich Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Not today but course of a few months, an old friend had gotten in touch with me through Facebook (that I rarely look at) and we met up yesterday figured out we hadn't seen each other for 28 years. Picked up like we had seen each other just last week. Great day

Oh man, hmmm,my brother and his wife were just transferred to Orlando.I'm sure they're going to have a hard time for awhile getting used to Fla's weather

crazyjim Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Orlando is at least a couple hours east of us and has completely different weather because it's about in the middle of the state. We're about 18 miles from the gulf and that affects our weather.
